Spirited Youth is a organization for empowering
teenage girls

Teenage girls group, Spirited YouthSpirited Youth is a organization for and about girls, founded by Debra Beck in 2005. Its mission is to help young girls have a better sense of who they are. Teens will make better decisions in all areas of life by learning how to love themselves and becoming empowered with self-esteem.

Debra has been working closely with girls for the last 15 years, beginning when her two daughters entered their teen years.

Her home was the place where all the kids "hung out" and felt safe.

Debra helps teenage girls realize their own unique abilities and how to build self-esteem

Teenage girls have always resonated with Debra because of her openness and compassion which helps them see that they have all of the answers they need inside them. Debra works from the issues outlined in her book, My Feet Aren't Ugly, to gently guide girls through many challenging topics they face in their lives.

Through Spirited Youth, Debra is available to travel to your location for:

Speaking Engagements on age-appropriate topics for girls from 11-15 including self-esteem, relationships, creativity, taking care of yourself physically (diet and skin care) and spiritually, drugs, and abstinence.

Suggested Topics:

    Drugs and Alcohol Education

Drugs are different today, they are more dangerous and there are many more to choose from. Alcohol is still a constant issue for our teens today: the statistics are mind blowing. Get the facts and become more aware of what damage drugs do.

What is the Price our Teens are Paying for Casual Sex?

Sex has become as common as getting an Iced Latte from Starbucks. Serious, compassionate conversations help teens understand how sex is affecting them now and in the long run. They will learn that the way you treat your body and what you do with it casually has an impact on your self-esteem.

Helping our teens learn to be good decision makers

What tools do we give our teens to prepare them for when they are 18 and in college? The earlier we start teaching them good communication skills and other essential tools for making smart decisions, the sooner they will put that knowledge to use and practice it in their daily lives.

    Peer Pressure at it’s Best

What do teens need to become more confident so that saying NO becomes easier? This topic discusses how to start making decisions that are right for you with confidence and humor, even if a peer thinks less of you or criticizes your choices.

    Body Image

As a teen we have unrealistic views of what a body is supposed to look like. Learn to love your body for it’s uniqueness , and stop the daily judgments and criticisms.
